The Minsk Starazhytny Historical Reconstruction Festival is a large—scale cultural and historical event that traditionally takes place in September in Minsk as part of the celebration of the City Day. Admission to the festival is free. The main features of the festival are historical epochs. Everyday life, culture and military affairs of various periods are demonstrated at the venues. The audience can see jousting tournaments on foot and on horseback, mass battles, battles of historical reconstruction clubs and tactical demonstrations.
