On August 29, 2026, at 4 p.m., Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Irina Shumilina will perform the program "One Thousand and One Nights" at the Loshitskaya Manor Museum, a branch of the Museum of the History of Minsk, as part of the Loshitskaya Manor Music Salon project.
The evening's program combines subtle lyrical and large-scale symphonic music arranged for one piano.
Famous songs by Franz Schubert will be performed in a virtuoso transcription by Franz Liszt: the dramatic "By the Sea" and "Atlas", the elegiac "Barcarola", the rebellious "Shelter", the enchanting "Evening Serenade" and the sublime "Ave Maria". Franz Liszt preserved the vocal melody of the original and transferred it to the richest piano texture. Here, the piano transcends its boundaries, simultaneously imitating the human voice and the deep sound of the orchestra.
