Main Post Office

The Main Post Office building, built in 1949-1953, is often referred to as the "capital letter" of Minsk Independence Avenue.
After entering the building, look into the operating room, designed in the form of a domed rotunda. The main decoration of the hall decorated with white marble and stucco is 15 stained glass windows dedicated to monuments of Belarusian architecture of the XI–XVIII centuries. Among them are such gems as the Grodno Boriso-Gleb Church, St. Sophia Cathedral of Polotsk, Kamenetsky Vezha, Nesvizh Town Hall and others. In short, the stained glass windows of the Minsk Main Post Office provide an opportunity for tourists to take a virtual mini-tour of the whole of Belarus in a few minutes.
There is a sign in the central hall of the post office indicating the distance to the cities of Belarus and Europe. The most accurate clocks in Minsk are located here, according to which residents and guests of the capital check the time. This clock shows the time in many cities around the world, which is why it is called the "clock of the world"
